Mixtape is a series of works showing songs of personal significance, layered on top of one
another, as a re-creation of the cassette mixtapes which were shared among my group of
friends. The much-used tape was recorded and erased many times and would eventually
deteriorate until we could hear the melodies on both sides of the magnetic strip distort and
merge into one another. The tracks were also uploaded as a Spotify playlist, the 21st century equivalent of the cassette mixtape.
