Inability To Move (We Went To Work With Him), 2019.
Inability To Move is an investigation into my father’s battle with depression, which
was kept a secret from my sister and I and only disclosed by my mother as he lay dying from
terminal cancer. With hindsight I now realise that his life was defined by this fight. At one
point, his illness was so crippling that he faced the prospect of being unable to carry on his
job as a delivery driver. My mother’s solution was for the three of us to go to work with him
every day until he regained his strength.
